The Rules of Participation (RoP) for the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) underpin the policies, processes and procedures required to provide assurance of openness, quality and trust in the practices and services offered through voluntary participation in EOSC. The RoP were developed by a dedicated working group of the EOSC Executive Board during 2019-2020 and were handed over to the EOSC Association at the end of 2020, which took responsibility for the RoP from 2021 onwards. This document proposes that the RoP are managed through a standing EOSC RoP Board that is established as an Operational or Advisory Body of the EOSC Association, under Article 6 of the Statues of the EOSC Association.
